Meet DJ Mark Best (Besty)

Hi I'm Mark (or DJ Besty as know to the trade!) and I'm one of the founding members of Your Perfect Night.  I always wanted to be a DJ and started on the decks at the age of 12 by doing gigs for kids parties.  I quickly built up a great reputation and a very busy diary.  I put a great deal of planning and hard work into the launch of Your Perfect Night as a high-end events company, and from that day I’ve never looked back! We've got a great team on-board and we have a great time putting on the biggest and best events in the WestCountry.

Over the years I've DJed in many different places, and had part-time residences in many of the local clubs here in Exeter, as well as one-off events in some of the larger clubs around the southwest.  Although the club work is a good laugh, I’ve always enjoyed the mobile side of my job more and I take great pride in having a large, high-end mobile rig that blows all the competition out of the water.  DJing at weddings is always exciting as every night is different.

As well as DJing, I also enjoy lighting design and programing.  I've worked on the lighting for acts such as Just Jack, Jaguar Skills, East 17, 911, Blazin Squad, as well as lighting for our own large events.

Favourite music style... Modern chart, classic 90’s dance, R&B.

Favourite gig of 2010 – Devon Young Farmers Winter Ball, 2000 young farmers on 1 dance floor!  A long day, early morning setup, rigging all day, but when you see that many people dancing to music that you are mixing is a real rush! An amazing night!
